Strydal collects 800,000 euros of pre-seed financing

Strydal has announced the successful completion of a pre-seed financing round via LinkedIn. A group of renowned angel investors provided a total of 800,000 EUR for the Munich-based start-up founded by Alexander Estner and Guilherme Coelho. Among the investors are Jacob Fatih (founder of FitX), Urs Keller (Stylight, Teleklinik), Chris Hitchen (Holidu, AnyDesk) and Jakob Riegger (co-founder of TrustYou).

Strydal's software platform enables trainers from the fitness and wellness sector "to turn their passion into an online business". The solution significantly simplifies all aspects of online teaching by integrating live courses, on-demand content, customer communication and billing in one easy-to-use platform.

It is the company's mission to enable independent professionals such as yoga teachers and fitness trainers to compete online with stronger players such as Peloton, Mirror or Gymondo. The company believes it is crucial, especially in challenging times like the current situation, that professionals can continue to earn a living. At the same time, customers should continue to train with the coaches they love.

It was only last week that Porsche Ventures announced a minority stake in Strydal's US competitor Playbook. The company had raised a total of USD 9.3 million from various investors in its Series A.
