Basic-Fit expands further: Acquisition of Speedfit and Kraftwerk

European budget market leader Basic-Fit is consistently advancing its inorganic growth strategy in the DACH region, announcing an agreement to acquire a total of 26 fitness clubs. The transaction comprises 18 Speedfit clubs in Austria(previously part of the Ukrainian Sport Life Group portfolio) as well as eight Kraftwerk locations in Germany.

The total transaction volume amounts to 26 million euros in cash, financed from the group's existing liquid funds. Through this acquisition, Basic-Fit increases its presence in neighbouring Austria from 33 to 51 locations, while expanding its portfolio in Germany from 114 to 122 owned clubs. This acquisition forms part of the vertically diversified growth strategy presented at the Capital Markets Day, which strategically focuses on organic growth, bolt-on acquisitions, and franchising.

The closing of both transactions is subject to customary antitrust clearance and is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. Following successful completion, the acquired locations are planned to be gradually integrated into Basic-Fit's established brand concept.
