With its about 100,000 members, the subsidiary of MIGROS Zürich is market leader on the Swiss fitness market. Silhouette Wellness SA runs 22 fitness centres: Ten Silhouette clubs located in Geneva, five in the canton Waadt and five in Zurich. The two premium gyms branded as "Pure" are also located in Geneva.

Through the acquisition, ACTIV FITNESS AG strengthen its market position in the areas of Zurich and Geneva. "The takeover is a milestone of our expansion strategy and a clear commitment to western Switzerland. We receive the possibility to take over good locations and an experienced team in the economic region of Geneva", states Hans Peter Maier, CEO of ACTIV FITNESS AG.

The Silhouette Wellness SA will keep operating with the existing employees and its two brands "Silhouette" and "Pure". The current CEO Sébastien Duvanel with his team will remain in charge of the business. "With ACTIV FITNESS we gain a dedicated, dynamic, and successful parent company. That acquisition will create lots of new perspectives for Silhouette as well as for its staff and it will ensure stability”, comments Sébastien Duvanel. There will be no changes for the members and they can continue to benefit from the established services of Silhouette Wellness SA.
