NORD Holding participates in Jumpers Fitness

The equity investor NORD Holding, based in Hanover, invested in the southern German fitness chain Jumper which is positioned in the discount segment.

The group, founded in 2005, has about 26,000 members and 10 health clubs, nine located in Bavaria and one in Baden- Wuerttemberg. Recently two new facilities were opened in Augsburg and Nuremberg in 2012.

"
Gyms are enjoying a growing popularity in Germany.  Since 2005, the number of members in gyms has increased by 2.5 million to 7.5 million members today. We expect a further increase to about 10 million members in 2017. From this growth particularly well-positioned brands in the premium and discount segments will benefit disproportionately. Therefore we are proud that we have found a professional partner with NORD Holding to help with high commitment to our expansion goals, "says Stephan Schulan, co-founder and managing partner of the Jumpers group from Rosenheim.

NORD Holding holds 65% of the future Jumpers shares, management 20% and an industry-experienced private investor 15%.
