The Elixia premium fitness clubs in Berlin-Lichterfelde, -Hellersdorf, and -Wilmersdorf offer spacious studio areas of up to 5,000 square meters per location. Each facility features modern training areas, a diverse range of classes, a 25-meter lap pool, and a comprehensive wellness area.
The acquisition of these clubs, which boast a long-standing presence, service-oriented teams, and a stable membership base, strengthens the LifeFit Group's premium portfolio. Targeted investments and integration into the Fitness First network are intended to promote and expand the service quality and growth of the clubs.
In addition to the Elixia clubs, the LifeFit Group has already invested in its premium portfolio this year through transactions such as the Body Culture fitness club in Darmstadt, sportsup in Wiesbaden, and Sports & Health in Munich.
This allows the group to focus not only on the continuous development of Fitness First RED, which offers a comprehensive range of training options at an attractive price-performance ratio, but also on the targeted acquisition of select facilities for Fitness First BLACK, the LifeFit Group's premium offering.
"We are seeing a significant increase in demand in the premium segment as well. Many people not only value the training itself, but also appreciate a higher-quality atmosphere, enhanced service, and additional amenities. Therefore, we are specifically seeking facilities with high quality and profitability, good equipment, and attractive locations to further expand our premium Fitness First BLACK offering."
Christophe Collinet, CCO LifeFit Group
“The Elixia clubs are already at a high level in terms of their teams and facilities, which we owe to the previous management of the clubs by Susanne Wiggert and Benito Wegrad. This professionalism is remarkable and forms an excellent foundation for the future. We are very pleased to welcome the new employees and members to the Fitness First family. Through their integration into our strong network in Berlin and throughout Germany, members will benefit from significantly expanded training options and cross-location offerings. At the same time, we will invest strategically in the further development of the three clubs to further improve the training and service experience and secure it for the long term.”
Johannes Maßen, COO LifeFit Group and Managing Director Fitness First
The previous owners did not take the decision to sell the studios lightly. They are grateful to have found a buyer in the LifeFit Group, which will continue to develop the fitness studios in the future:
“We are pleased to hand over the Elixia Group to the responsible hands of such a professional organization. Although it is difficult for us to let go of this sporting haven, we are convinced that the three studios will continue to thrive under the new name Fitness First. Through targeted modernizations and innovations, members will quickly come to appreciate and love Fitness First.”
Benito Wegrad, former Co-CEO and COO of the Elixia Group
