„We are delighted to be able to support Hansefit, the market leader in the fast-growing segment of corporate fitness networks, as a partner in the future in order to jointly expand and roll out the high-quality offering,“, says Dr Gregor Hengst, Principal of Waterland Private Equity. The growth investor has taken over the shares from shareholder Stefan Runge, who is leaving the company.
Hansefit founder, co-owner and Managing Director Jens Pracht, who invented and established the business model in Germany, sees the investment by Waterland as a milestone: „‘The investment gives Hansefit the opportunity to continue to grow dynamically, expand our range of services and reach a new stage of development.“ Hansefit is already the leading provider in Germany with more than 1,500 network partners and 1,300 corporate customers employing a total of 210,000 people.
Together, Waterland and Hansefit intend to utilise the existing market potential by expansion and further digitalise the Hansefit offering. Based on the quality leadership of Hansefit, as well as the mutually beneficial business model business model with access to new sources of revenue for network partners, increasing the attractiveness of corporate customers for employees and improving employee health, Hansefit is ideally placed to further strengthen its market position.
