Aspria looking for new partner

According to information from the Belgian newspaper "De Tijd" club operator Aspria is looking for a new financial partner. This is to replace the participation of shareholder Ares, which had acquired former owner Apollo, whose investment funds run out. With the funds raised international expansion in Europe and beyond is to be financed.

Aspria stands for exclusive sports and wellness facilities, and operates four clubs in Germany, three clubs in Belgium and one in Italy. The Aspria concept combines a variety of activities from sports, culture, business, wellness and fitness. The group was founded shortly after the turn of the century by the entrepreneur Peter Beckwith and Brian Morris.

CEO Brian Morris confirmed the information. "The Ares funds have a limited life and can due to their statues no longer continue to invest. In contrast Aspria has significant growth plans. Therefore, in consultation with our partners we are looking for a new partner who can support us and finance further growth", he explains. The process is said to be in its initial phase.
